Knowing

Men who know say nothing
(They won’t be heard)
while those who don't hide hunger:
the lust to kill.

 And, so it continues to this day.

What makes men like this, 
I wonder.
What sort of lust
is fulfilled in rapine and war:

 deaths both of sons and daughters,
hope gone forever.
