Killing

Killing is never an answer,
can’t be corrected;
does not necessarily make right
or determine blame.

Judge and jury are left to untangle.

Whether done in haste,
in anger, revenge, or hate,
killing ends
all options to reconsider.

All that’s left for consideration
is the killer's fate
which itself
may involve more killing.
