Culpability

Not to know when facts are available
is the greatest lie.
Not to act when action is needed
is the greatest crime.
To blame and point the finger
is the height of shame
unless we each
point to ourselves.

There is such a gulf
between morality and actions taken!
We are the wolf
in every children’s story written,
also the victim.
