Myth

Myth begets myth, begets knowledge
drawn from the marrow of our bones,

a fount of knowledge
that is the body’s when it’s born.

Myth can also pour fearful knowledge
in which courage drowns

and the love of a woman for her child
like a flame snuffs out.
