What Is Truth?

Pilate asked,
but the party on trial didn’t answer.

Although it is often attempted,
truth cannot be bent.

Truth it’s something that’s often bidden;
more often it’s artfully hidden.

So be careful in the handling of truth,
for truth is strong

and is also especially dangerous:
it can prove you wrong.
